Why I Created BumpBelt
When I was 28 weeks pregnant with my daughter Ava, I was in a minor car accident. We were rear-ended at a stoplight. The impact wasn’t severe, but the seatbelt locked tight across my stomach, and for a few terrifying seconds, I couldn’t breathe.
In that moment, all I could think about was her. Was she okay? Did the pressure harm her? We rushed to the hospital. Hours of monitoring, endless waiting, silent prayers. Ava was fine, but I couldn’t shake the fear.
That night, I went home and searched for safer options. I wanted something that could keep the seatbelt away from my belly, but what I found were bulky contraptions, uncomfortable clips, or low-quality products that didn’t feel trustworthy.
So I designed BumpBelt. A safer, simpler solution that keeps the lap belt below your bump where it belongs. It’s OB-GYN recommended, crash-tested, and made to give expecting mothers the confidence and comfort they deserve while driving.
